Limerick Museum and Archives (LM&A), comprising both the Limerick City Museum and the Limerick Archives, are funded by Limerick City and County Council and are both based in Civic Buildings, Merchant's Quay, Limerick.

After the merger of Limerick City Council and Limerick County Council in April 2014, Limerick City Museum and Archives (LCM&A) dropped the City from their name becoming LM&A.

LM&A work in collaboration with other public and private institutions on projects, exhibitions and publications which relate to the history of Limerick city and county.

These projects require both archival and exhibition aspects to highlight collections from both institutions.

In May 2017, with the move of Limerick Museum to Henry Street, the joint title of LM&A was dropped and the two institutions work as Limerick Museum and Limerick Archives.
