Wilfried Jason Mengue, better known by his stage name Lil Ryder (born June 30, 1997)[1] is a French rapper, who's known for the release of his 2015's hit single, called "Pas Idée".

Early life

Lil Ryder was born Wilfried Jason Mengue on June 30, 1997 in Willemstad (Curaçao) and moved to France at the age of eleven with his mother and sisters and his step-father, where he became interested in rap music. In Paris, he met Dj Chris who provided a recording studio for Ryder to explore his musical ambitions. In June 2011, Ryder posted his songs on the website SoundCloud.[2]

Following positive reviews on the site, he established accounts on YouTube and MySpace.[3][4] In August 2013, he recorded "Aujourd'hui" and released his first independent album Reformation.[5]
