Overview
It was performed in 28 teams, 14 teams in the west division and 14 teams in the east division. Gelora Dewata move their headquarters from Denpasar, Bali, to Sidoarjo, East Java, and change their name to Gelora Delta Putra, till change their name to Deltras Sidoarjo in 2002. Persema Malang change their name to Malang United. Persija Jakarta is the winner of this season after beat PSM Makassar 3-2 in the final match
