Lewis Honors College

The Lewis Honors College is Kentucky's Honors College. In October 2015, the University of Kentucky received the largest single gift in its history, $23.5 million from alumnus, longtime donor and successful entrepreneur Thomas W. Lewis and his wife Jan to create the Lewis Honors College. On July 10, 2017, Dr. Christian Brady was announced as the inaugural dean of the college.[1][2]

The Lewis Honors College was transitioned from the Honors Program at UK in 2015. The Honors Program at UK began in 1961. As of August 2017, construction has been completed on Lewis Hall. Lewis houses 2-bedroom suite style rooms for the Honors students. The building also includes classrooms, study spaces, and a small ballroom for programming. [3]
