Marc Mifune (born in Rennes, France),[1] whose stage name is Les Gordon, is a French electronic musician and songwriter.[2]

Early life

Gordon went to the École des Beaux-Arts.[2][3] Originally from Rennes,[2] he studied at the École Émile-Cohl in Lyon. His father is Taiwanese [2][3] and his stage name comes from the Scottish artist Douglas Gordon.[2] He notably studied cello and guitar.[4]

Career

He began creating his first tracks under the pseudonym Morning Crash, where he was learning skills and knowledge for CAM (computer aided music).[5]

His stage name Les Gordon is a reference to Douglas Gordon, videographer and visual artist, and "Les" is an English name for a nod to British artists such as Four Tet, Gold Panda, Mount Kimbie and many others.[6]

He supported the opening acts of Stromae (Rencontres Trans Musicales of 2013), Madeon (Le Trianon) or Fauve[1][7] (eighteen representations [2]).

He composed Saisons (2014), Les cheveux longs (2015) and Atlas (2016),[7] along with a collaboration EP, Croquis n°1 (2015).[2] and signed to the French label Kitsuné[7] after leaving the label Allo Floride.[4]

He has a band, which is called « Singapour » (2015), where Les is a producer and his friend Roman Oswald writes lyrics.[5]

He is featured in several duos such as Mondrian with Roman Oswald[8] and Leska with Douchka.[9]
