The Layton Utah Temple is an announced temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) to be constructed in Layton, Utah. The intent to construct the temple was announced by church president Russell M. Nelson on April 1, 2018, during the 188th annual general conference.[2][3][4][5] When completed, it will be the 19th temple in Utah and the second temple in Davis County.[2]

Although the church has not made a public announcement about the timing of construction or an exact location in Layton, according to the Davis County Assessor’s Office, a property in the area of East Gentile and Oak Hills Drive in East Layton was purchased by the church about the time the new temple was announced.[6]
