Lawrence Otto Bensemann (4 March 1891 – 23 September 1969) was a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s. He played at representative level for New Zealand (Heritage № 101), and Wellington, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1][2][3]
Early life and family
Born in Motueka in 1891, Bensemann was educated at Nelson College from 1904 to 1906.[4] He was the uncle of artist Leo Bensemann.
Playing career
International honours
Bensemann represented New Zealand in 1913 against New South Wales.
