Latin Syndicate is an American criminal street gang based in Miami, Florida.

History

The gang was founded by seven friends in the Miami area of West Flagler and 47th Ave in the late 1980s. The original leader, Hammer, went to jail for killing a member of South Beach Posse whom he hit in the head with a bat. Level replaced him as leader.

In 1990, a Latin Syndicate gangster shot and killed a rival from South Beach Posse in a South Beach parking lot. A year later, undercover Miami Police officers were inadvertently caught in a shootout between two gangs.

In 1991 Level started recruiting African-Americans. The gang's name changed from Latin Syndicate to Loc'ed Syndicate. The Loc'ed Syndicate had about 150 members. Level devised a plan to expand his influence. He formed a coalition and applied the name Savage City Gangsterz, unifying several other gangs. The name was based on a period when tourists were victimized with robbery and murder in Miami, leading the media to call it a "Savage city" full of killers. The new group initially merged Loc'ed Syndicates and Imperial Gangsters. Later the T.N.S. and L.B.B., Evil Gang and a chapter of Zulu Nation joined. Many gang members were killed and killed others and many went to prison.

In 1998 undercover Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents arrested four members for selling illegal firearms and orchestrating drug rip-offs. Level stated that half of his members were in prison and the rest were deceased.

Level stated on a testimony video that after waking from a coma and barely avoiding death so many times and spending time in prison, he realized that he had a calling from Jesus Christ.
