Lars Kristinus Larsen,[2] (born 6 August 1948), is a Danish businessman, owner and founder of the Jysk retail chain.[3]

Career

Larsen is also known under the name Dyne-Larsen (Duvet-Larsen) and is the founder of the Jysk retail chain. Until, 2001 the chain was named "Jysk Sengetøjslager" (meaning: jutlandic linen storage).

In 2009 when JYSK had its 30 year anniversary, Larsen self-published the book 30 år med JYSK (30 years with JYSK). He mailed a free copy to every household in Denmark, making it the #1 book in the kingdom.[4]

The American business magazine Forbes named him the 435th richest man in the world (August 2015).[1]

Honours

In June 2010 he was knighted in the Order of the Dannebrog.[5]

Personal life

He has two children and lives in Silkeborg since 1984.[2]
