Lapat Ngamchaweng (Thai: ลภัส งามเชวง); popularly known by the nickname Third is a Thai singer, actor, endorser and model.[1] He is a member of the Thailand boy group "9x9" (Nine by Nine or 9by9) and former member of Kamikaze since 2015.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early life and education

Third Lapat was born on 24 November 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand. His mother name is Ketsara Limpananon. He is the youngest son of three siblings, having an two older sister name is Larisa (Lily) Ngamchaweng and Larisara (Biba) Ngamchaweng. He attended New Sathorn International School and now studies in the Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University.[8]

Career

Rising popularity

In January 2016, Kamikaze’s official YouTube channel uploaded the song ‘Love Warning’, which was sung by Lapat in collaboration with Sarina Ruttana. The song became an international hit with more than 130 million views and counting in 2017. Lapat became a national teen icon following the roaring success of the music video and many other offers poured in, including acting offers. He got signed on for one of the leading parts in the drama series ’21 Days, I Love you’. It is a fantasy romance drama that premiered on 23 January 2017. The series features Lapat as a heartthrob who is unaware of a girl who is madly in love with his character. She creates a magic potion of sorts and all hell break loose once she starts using it.[9]

Music career

Third Lapat from an early age was interested in acting, but later chose to start a singing career. This was when he joined Kamikaze, a huge record label in Thailand. He took music classes for two years before releasing his first single.[10] After learning music for around two years, he joined Kamikaze’s YouTube Channel, which was where his career started. His debut song is "Reminder " it was released back on August 27, 2014.[11] He participated in singer Thank You's song called "Following " back in December 4, 2014.[11] In his song "Just One word" that was released on June 4, 2015. "Hidden Love " released back August 10, 2015 is a collab between with Marc Kamikaze.[11] His hit song "Love Warning " alongside Sarina Ruttana was released on January 28, 2016 which earned over 100 million views on YouTube.[12] And his song "Stay " was released March 9, 2017.[1][1][13]

He left the Kamikaze group in 2017 and became a member of 9x9, a newly founded Thailand boy idol group under 4nologue, formed on February 2018.[14][15]

Acting career

On June 2012 He was the lead actor on the Thai remake of Romeo and Juliet.[16] Third made his acting debut with a leading role in the drama "21 Days, I Love You " this drama features fantasy, romance drama, and was aired on February 23, 2017. The drama storyline is about a girl who is in love with Third's character, so she makes a love potion and a bunch of crazy things starts to happen so if you are interested check it out, I shall no longer spoil it. In 2018, he will be featured in new TV drama and movies. His hobbies include singing, playing football and watching boxing matches.[1][17] He currently acted on the new Thai series called Into The Light playing the role as 'Tao'.

He has appeared in commercials for many advertisements including, McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Ovaltine, Splash, Siam Ocean World.[18]
