Lane Douglas Lambert (born November 18, 1964) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey forward drafted 25th overall in the second round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Lambert played 283 games in the National Hockey League for the Quebec Nordiques, New York Rangers, and Detroit Red Wings. Lane was the head coach of the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League[1] until he was promoted as an assistant coach for the Nashville Predators on June 9, 2011. He is currently an assistant coach for the New York Islanders, who he joined when head coach Barry Trotz signed with the team in 2018.[2] He won the Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018.
On July 5, 2018 Lambert was named Associate coach of the New York Islanders.
Lambert was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan. He was married to Andi Lambert, who died September 16, 2015 of breast cancer.[3]
