Lake Placid: Legacy is a 2018 American made-for-television horror film directed by Darrell Roodt and stars Katherine Barrell, Tim Rozon, Sai Bennett and Joe Pantoliano. The film premiered on Syfy on May 28, 2018[1][2] and the sixth installment in the Lake Placid series. The film is a direct sequel to Lake Placid (1999), which ignores the events of subsequent installments and the only film in the series to not feature or reference the Bickerman family.
Plot
A group of young explorers discover a secret area hidden from all maps and GPS devices. When they reach the center of the lake, they discover an abandoned facility that houses one of the largest, and deadliest apex-predators known to man.
