Laird Bergad

Laird Bergad is an American historian of Latin America and the Caribbean, currently a Distinguished Professor[1] and founding Director of the CUNY Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies at City University of New York and Lehman College,[2][3] and also a published author.[4] He was also one of the first American scholars to be given full access to Cuban historical archives in the 1980s, and he published 2 books from these experiences.[2] He is also a Guggenheim Fellow.[3]
