Gwendolen Gascoyne-Cecil (1860-1945) (Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1895)

Lady Gwendolen Gascoyne-Cecil (28 July 1860 – 28 September 1945) was a British author who wrote a four-volume biography of her father, Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, Life of Robert, marquis of Salisbury.

She wrote a short story called "The Little Ray" for the Pall Mall Magazine August 1894 issue. [1] In October 2017, the author Johnny Mains revealed Lady Gwendolyn as the author of the story 'The Closed Cabinet' - which was previously attributed 'Anonymous' [2] [3]
