Kibris Mobile Telekomunikasyon Ltd., doing business as Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell, began to serve its subscribers as a foreign associate of Turkcell Communication Services Inc. on August 3, 1999. By March 2009, Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell had reached 318 thousand subscribers and earned a total of 11 million TL for network and other fixed asset investments and 45 million TL for 2G and 3G license investments.
Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell subscribers have started to be able to use 3G (3rd Generation) technology at November 2008.
