Kurt Nimphius (born March 13, 1958) is a retired American National Basketball Association (NBA) player. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended Arizona State University. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the third round (1st pick) of the 1980 NBA draft. He played for the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, and Philadelphia Sixers in an NBA career that lasted eight seasons. He also played for the team Cajacanarias of the Canary Islands at the Spanish league and played part of a season for the Alberta Dusters in the Continental Basketball Association.[1]

He was inducted into the Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor during the 2012 Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, March 10, 2012. Inducted into Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame 2007, and the Arizona State University Basketball Hall of Fame 2011.
