Krum Georgiev Bibishkov (Bulgarian: Крум Георгиев Бибишков; born 2 September 1982) is a Bulgarian former footballer and current coach.

Career

He started his career in his home town of Blagoevgrad where he represented the local team Pirin. He played for Pirin Blagoevgrad in six matches, scoring one goal. In August 1999, Bayern Munich signed Bibishkov.

In July 2000, he returned to Bulgaria, signing a contract with Levski Sofia. In June 2002, Bibishkov transferred to Marek Dupnitsa. With the team he played in Intertoto Cup.

In June 2005, he signed with Portuguese Maritimo. However, he was loaned out to FC Penafiel the following season.

In January 2007, Bibishkov transferred to Litex Lovech, with whom he won the 2008 Bulgarian Cup. On 18 April 2007, Bibishkov scored five goals for the team in a match against Chernomorets Burgas Sofia of the Bulgarian top division. The result of the match was an 11–0 win for Litex. In December 2008, Bibishkov was named the 2008 Footballer of the Year of Litex. He participated in the 2007–08 UEFA Cup.[2]

Steaua

On 6 July 2009, he signed a three-year contract as a free transfer with Romanian team Steaua Bucureşti.[3] Bibishkov was expected to be adopted quickly by Steaua's fans. In a friendly game in disputed break season 2007–08, Litex beat Dinamo Bucureşti, 5–2 score, he scored four goals against the main rival of seedy blue. However, he failed to impress, his performances on the field being mediocre. Additionally, Steaua was knocked out of the 2009–10 Cupa României after a penalty-shootout against Gloria Bistrita, in which only Bibishkov missed his spot kick. Bibishkov will soon be released from the club together with Rafał Grzelak and Miguel Tininho. In January 2010, Bibishkov together with Rafał Grzelak and Alexandru Iacob was demoted to the B squad. He also played in the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League.[4]

Académica

On 3 February 2010, Bibishkov signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Portuguese club Académica de Coimbra.[5] He went abroad to play with Hapoel Ramat Gan Givatayim F.C. in the Liga Leumit.[6] In 2011, he returned to Bulgaria he play with Pirin Blagoevgrad, Minyor Pernik, Lokomotiv Sofia, and Marek Dupnitsa.[7] He went overseas to Canada in 2016 to play with the Brantford Galaxy in the Canadian Soccer League.[8][9][10]

Managerial career

While in the CSL he made the transition to managing in 2017, where he was appointed in the capacity of a player-coach for Scarborough SC.[11] Bibishkov achieved a remarkable result in his first year by reaching the CSL Championship final, where they were defeated 5-4 in a penalty shootout against York Region Shooters.[12][13]

Bibishkov was a part of the Bulgarian national under-21 team.
