Kranti Redkar (Marathi: क्रांती रेडकर; born 17 August 1982) is a well known Marathi film, television and stage actor, notable for her roles in Marathi theatre and Marathi films and television.[3]

Career

Her debut in films was in a Marathi film 'Soon Asavi Ashi' in the year 2000 opposite Ankush Choudhary. Later she also played an important character of a kidnapped girl - Apoorva in Prakash Jha's Hindi film 'Gangaajal' (2003).

She is best known for her super hit popular Marathi song ‘Kombdi palali, tangdi dharun ....langadi ghalaya laagli’ opposite Bharat Jadhav in the popular 2006 Marathi film Jatra. It has music given by Ajay-Atul. Ajay and Atul used same tune of the song "Kombdi Palali ..." from Jatra for item song "Chikani Chameli" in Hindi film Agneepath in 2012.

Currently she has donned the director's hat and directly a movie named KAAKAN starring Jitendra Joshi & Urmila Kanitkar.

she played Mother Teresa as a three-year-old in school, performing artist Kranti Redkar scarcely ever envisioned that sometime down the road she would get a chance to assume the part of a Christian sister on the wide screen. The performing artist has now been reserved in by Hollywood chief William Riead for his film The Letters ... in view of Mother Teresa
