Kranea, Krania or Crania (Greek: Κρανέα or Κρανιά, Aromanian: Turia) is an Aromanian (Vlach) village and a community of the Grevena municipality.[1] Before the 2011 local government reform it was a part of the municipality of Gorgiani, of which it was a municipal district.[2] The 2011 census recorded 385 residents in the village.[1] The community of Kranea covers an area of 70.929 km2.[3]

According to the French traveller François Pouqueville, the settlement was formed in 1507 when the villages of Turia and Paleohori were merged.[4][5]
