Significance

Temples dedicated to Saraswati are seldom found in India. [1]The temple is Tamil Nadu's only Hindu temple for Saraswathi.[2][3] Praises of the temple were sung by Tamil poets Ottakoothar and Kambar.[2][3] Dusshera is the most popular festival celebrated in the temple.[4]
