Koo Ji-won (具智元/구지원 (ク・ジウォン), Ji-won Koo) born 20 July 1994 is a Japanese international rugby union player who plays as a prop.[1] He currently plays for Sunwolves[2] in Super Rugby and Honda Heat in Japan's domestic Top League.[3][4] Born in South Korea he received Japanese Citizenship in 2015.

International

After only 2 Super Rugby appearances for the Sunwolves, which included 1 start, Koo received his first call-up to his adopted country, Japan's senior squad ahead of the 2017 end-of-year rugby union internationals.[5]
