Koenig Valley

Koenig Valley (77°36′S 160°47′E / 77.600°S 160.783°E / -77.600; 160.783Coordinates: 77°36′S 160°47′E / 77.600°S 160.783°E / -77.600; 160.783) is an ice-free valley just east of Mount Thor in the Asgard Range of Victoria Land, Antarctica. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Ervon R. Koenig, a scientific leader at McMurdo Station with the 1972 winter party and station manager there in the 1973–74 and 1974–75 seasons.[1]
