Knoxville, Missouri
Knoxville is an unincorporated community in Ray County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]
History
Knoxville was founded in the 1830s.[2] A large share of the early settlers being natives of Tennessee caused the name of Knoxville, after Knoxville, Tennessee, to be selected.[3] A post office called Knoxville was established in 1838, and remained in operation until 1904.[4]
