Knox Academy
Knox Academy is a co-educational secondary school located in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.
History
Knox Academy is the descendant of a medieval grammar school and is in the list of the oldest schools in the world after being founded in 1379.[1] The 19th-century building was the first specifically dedicated to John Knox and was designed by John Starforth in 1877.[2] In 2005, a major overhaul of the school was completed.
Cadet Force
Knox Academy was the last state school in Scotland to have a Combined Cadet Force, the Knox CCF.[3] The CCF was disbanded in 2010.
