Klimovsky District (Russian: Климовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,554 square kilometers (600 sq mi).[5] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Klimovo.[1] Population: 30,003 (2010 Census);[6] 34,556 (2002 Census);[9] 40,119 (1989 Census).[10] The population of Klimovo accounts for 46.3% of the district's total population.[6]
