Kisses Delavin (born May 1, 1999 in Masbate City, Philippines) is a Filipino actress singer and multimedia artist. She entered the Pinoy Big Brother house in June 2016 as a teen housemate of the seventh regular season, where she won Second Big Placer.

Early life

Kisses Delavin came from a prominent family in Masbate City involved in various businesses such as hotels and trading. Her mother was pregnant with eight children who all died of premature birth, except for Kisses. Her family moved from Quezon City to Masbate shortly after her birth. At age 6, she was stricken with viral encephalitis. She fell into a coma but miraculously recovered after 24 hours without any lifelong damage.[1]

She is a relative of BusinessWorld reporter Imee Charlee Delavin.

Education

Delavin attended Jose Zurbito Sr. Elementary School and completed her secondary education in Masbate National Comprehensive High School. She went to De La Salle University and took up a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. In 2016, she filed a leave of absence to venture on a career in show business.

Career

Delavin was cast several times as a model in various Natasha campaigns.[2] She held a cameo role in the 2015 teleserye Pangako Sa 'Yo.

She was a pageant winner from Masbate, having won Miss Kaogma prior to joining Pinoy Big Brother in 2016.[3] She was also crowned Miss Masbate Province earlier that year.

In its 7th season, she was the second girl teen housemate to enter the Pinoy Big Brother house. During the teen edition, she was announced the 2nd Lucky Sun, garnering the highest votes from the public, 48.53%.[4] She was included in the Lucky 7 of the Dream Team edition and was eventually named 2nd Big Placer during the Big Night.

Delavin has appeared on episodes of Gandang Gabi, Vice!, Tonight with Boy Abunda, It's Showtime, ASAP, Magandang Buhay, Umagang Kay Ganda, Rated K, and Matanglawin.

Together with Marco Gallo, she was the Myx Celebrity VJ for the month of July 2017. Collectively known as "KissMarc", they also starred in Young JV's music video for the song "Kulay". They appeared together on several online and print materials, public engagements and as each other's love interest on various ABS-CBN TV shows and movies. Despite the success, the team upended following a controversial interview in the online show, Kapamilya Chat.

In October 2017, Delavin signed a contract under Star Music. She was the first official artist under the music sub-label, Star Pop. Tickets to her self-titled grand album launch on November 2017 sold out within 30 minutes. More than 15,000 units of her album were sold the day prior to its launch. She formally received her gold and platinum certifications from PARI on the January 21, 2018 episode of ASAP.[5]

In February 2018, her first solo concert was held in the KIA Theatre, guested by Sam Milby, Karla Estrada, Marlo Mortel and Tony Labrusca.

Delavin is one of the regular hosts of ASAP Chillout.

She appeared on the front cover of MEGA magazine's March 2018 issue. The shoot was held in Prague, Czech Republic.

She is now matched up with rising star Donny Pangilinan, whom she worked within the movie Walwal and currently working for the production of her upcoming sitcom Playhouse.

Endorsements

After her stint in Pinoy Big Brother, she became the newest brand ambassador for Palmolive shampoo and Colgate toothpaste. She is also one of the celebrity endorsers for Bench clothing and Vans Shoes.

On September 2017, she was announced as one of the Vivo celebrity ambassadors during the launching of the Vivo V7+ mobile phone.

Kisses is one of the faces for Vice Cosmetics, owned by Vice Ganda. On October 2017, a grand launch for the brand was held in Araneta Colliseum.

In June 2018, she was launched as one of the latest Coca-Cola endorsers.
