Kim Possible is an upcoming American action comedy television film, based on the Disney Channel animated series of the same name created by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle. Directed and produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (Disney XD's Mech-X4), the film is written by Schooley, McCorkle, and Josh Cagan (The DUFF), and executive produced by Schooley, McCorkle, and Zanne Devine. It is the third Disney Channel Original Movie based on the series, following A Sitch in Time and So the Drama. Starring Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone in the lead roles, it is set to premiere in 2019 on Disney Channel.

Cast

Additionally, Christy Carlson Romano, who voiced Kim in the animated series, is set to cameo in the film.[4]

Production

The film was announced on February 7, 2018, alongside the involvement of the original series creators, and the beginning of casting with Blyth Nailling (ABC's Last Man Standing) serving as casting director.[5] Stanley and Giambrone's casting as the leads was announced on April 25, 2018 in a promotional video featuring Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle, the original voice actors for the characters.[6] Hannigan, Ray, Stashwick, Ortega, Tham, and Wilson joined the cast on May 25.[2] Principal photography began on June 4, 2018 in Vancouver, under the working title Possibility, and concluded on July 24.[7][8]

Release

The film is set to premiere on Disney Channel in 2019.[9]
