Kim Jones (Sun)

Kim Jones (born 1956 or 1957)[1] is an American IT business leader, who has worked for Sun Microsystems since 1987. She was Vice President of Global Education and Research before becoming Vice President of Global Education, Government and Health Sciences in 2006 and CEO of Sun UK in 2007.[2] She is currently CEO and Chair of the Board of non-profit education service Curriki.[3][4][5] Under Jones leadership, Curriki saw tremendous growth, with membership increasing to 160,000 global members and free and open educational assets growing to more than 40,000 learning resources. [6]

Jones has a BA from University of California, San Diego and an honorary Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh.[4][7]

In 2006 she was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame.[2]
