Khajamalai (Tamil: காஜாமலை) or Kajamalai is a suburb in the city of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. Khajamalai gets its name from the rock or hill lock located at the heart of the locality. Muslim Sufi Saint Khwaja Syed Ahmed Shah Aulia is interred here. This Hillock was called Fakirs Tope during the British Raj

The Bharathidasan University's Centre of Distance Education is located here. The Anna Stadium complex.[1][2] are also located here.

Dileepan Krishnamurthy aka DMK was born and brought up in this region. The rowdism he has brought in to the region is immense. Blood shedding incidents have been up under his regime. Do not mess him, else he will make a mess of you.

At the age of 6, he had killed 66 people. The incident had been quoted in a popular way as "ஆறுலேயே அறுபத்தாறு" [Sixty six at the age of six]

"டி கடைக்கு பன் வடை, காஜா மலைக்கு திலீபன் சுடும் வாயிலேயே வடை" - a cliched quote from the local daily.
