Kevin Glen Weisman is an American film, television and stage actor. He has played Marshall Flinkman on the ABC television series Alias (20012006), Kives on the HBO television series and movie Hello Ladies (2013–14), Ray on the CBS television series Scorpion, and Dr. Maynard on the NBC television series The Blacklist. Weisman plays Ned Berring in season one of the David E. Kelley series, Goliath, as well as Dale Yorkes on the Hulu series Runaways.

Early life

Weisman was born to a Jewish family[1] in Los Angeles, California. He pursued acting at a young age, participating in local drama festivals in and around the Los Angeles area (DTASC). He received a BA from UCLA's prestigious School of Theater, Film and Television [2] and also studied at New York's Circle in the Square Theatre. Weisman is a founding member of Buffalo Nights Theater Company.

Stage credits

Weisman was nominated for a Leading actor Award (Stage Raw) for his work as Francois Villon in Murray Mednick's Villon, which premiered at the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles.[3] The show was produced by the Padua Playwrights. In the fall of 2012, he took the role of frustrated writer, Arthur Kellog in Jaime Pachino's West Coast premiere of The Return to Morality at the Production Company at the Lex Theater in Hollywood.

Weisman is a founding member of the Buffalo Nights Theatre Company. His roles with Buffalo Nights include Arthur Schnitzler's Anatol, Jean Giraudoux's Apollo of Bellac; Madman and the Nun, The Firebugs, Suburban Motel, Ethan Lipton's Hope on the Range, Arthur Miller's Incident at Vichy, Oscar Wilde's Salome, and the West Coast Premiere of Jonathan Marc Sherman's Sophistry.[4]

His other theatre credits include 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, The Greeks and The Goldoni Trilogy. Weisman has also worked at the La Mirada Theater for Performing Arts, where he appeared as 'Gabe' in Donald Margulies' Dinner with Friends

Weisman joined the cast of David E. Kelley Amazon series, Goliath.

In addition to five seasons on the ABC series Alias, Weisman recently appeared as a series regular in the Stephen Merchant/HBO project, Hello Ladies,[5] where he was named one of the season's "best new characters" by tv.com.[6] He appeared in an episode of AMC's Better Call Saul entitled "Hero", and has a recurring role as Dr. Jeffrey Maynard on The Blacklist on NBC, and as Ray Spiewack on Season 2 of Scorpion on CBS. Weisman recently completed filming the feature, The Trust, also starring Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood. He played a recurring role as Assistant DA, Todd Erlich, on TNT's Perception, and portrayed Anson Stokes in a fan favorite The X-Files season 7 episode, entitled "Je Souhaite", written and directed by Vince Gilligan. Weisman also appeared in Kevin Smith's feature film, Clerks II. He appeared as Aidan Quinn's character's younger, mentally challenged brother, Daniel Baker in Rob Reiner's Flipped. He had a recurring role as the mysterious 'Mr. Blonde', in the NBC show, Awake.[7] He has also appeared on various shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Roswell, E.R, Frasier, JAG, The Pretender, The Drew Carey Show, Pauly, Just Shoot Me, Chuck, Miami Medical, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, Awake, Fairly Legal, Felicity, Human Target, The Forgotten, The Glades, CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Fringe, and October Road. Other film work includes The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Space Buddies, Robbers, Unicorn City, Bending The Rules, B.O.H.I.C.A, and Undocumented.

Weisman produced and acted in the 2004 feature film The Illusion, directed by Michael Goorjian. He has also appeared on Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown. Weisman was the drummer for the rock band Trainwreck.

He has appeared on both the Entertainment Weekly "Must List" and Matt Roush/TV Guide's "Top 10 scene stealers."

Philanthropy

In 2004, Weisman was a participant in the first-ever national television advertising campaign supporting donations to Jewish federations. The program featured "film and television personalities celebrating their Jewish heritage and promoting charitable giving to the Jewish community".[1]

Personal life

In 2005, Weisman married Jodi Tanowitz, a preschool teacher, in a Jewish ceremony. He has two children, Maya Rose Weisman (born 2006) and Eli Samuel Weisman (born 2008)[8]
