Kevin McGrath

Kevin McGrath BSc (Est Man) MRICS DipPropInvest DUniv OBE, DL was appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday 2016 Honours List.(OBE).

He is the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

He was The High Sheriff of the County of Greater London 2014/2015 ;[1].

Kevin was awarded an Honorary Degree award of the Doctor of the University from the University of Surrey in 2017 in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the arts.

McGrath is Executive Chairman of M&M Asset Management (www.mandmfund.co.uk)a property asset management company and was previously managing director and Senior Adviser to F&C REIT Asset Management,..[7] McGrath is also Non Executive Chairman of Regional REIT Ltd(www.regionalreit.com) and Chairman of Intcas (UK) Ltd. (www.Intcas.com)and a Non Executive Director of E-Cargobikes.com Ltd.

He was a candidate in the 2009 European Parliament Elections; a candidate for the North East Hampshire constituency at the 2005 General Election; for Ealing Council in the 2006 London Council Elections,[8] and for the London Assembly in the 2012 London Elections.

McGrath graduated from the Polytechnic of the South Bank with a BSc in Estate Management (Distinction)Alumna profile https://alumni.lsbu.ac.uk/KevinMcGrath. He obtained a post graduation Diploma in Property Investment (Award Winner) from the College of Estate Management.

Born in West London and living in Ealing, McGrath is married to Kate and they have two children.

Prior to working for F&C REIT, McGrath was a founding equity Partner in REIT Asset Management.

Immediately prior to REIT McGrath was Senior Investment Surveyor with Hermes, the Fund Manager for the British Telecommunication and Post Office Pension Schemes. Before that he worked for London Councils in various property related positions. And prior to that he worked in manufacturing and banking.

McGrath is a Chartered Surveyor who has worked in the property industry for over 30 years and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and is a Freeman of the City of London.

He is also Non-Executive Property Advisory board member of the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Greater London; an Ambassador for the Commonwealth Youth Enterprise Project and The Make Justice Work Charity; a Governor of The London South Bank University;[9] an Honorary Vice-President of the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra & Choir; a Patron of Clean Break Charity and of The Forgiveness Project; and a School Governor and Chair of the Property Committee of The Phoenix High School (2010–2016).

McGrath served as a Commissioner on the Independent Commission on English Prisons Today[10] under the leadership of Cherie Booth and currently sat on the Criminal Justice Policy Working Group under the Leadership of the Rt Hon Sadiq Khan MP Shadow Justice Minister (www.justicereview.org.uk)and the Addaction Alcohol and Resettlement Commission Chaired by John Podmore. He is also a member of the Shadow Chancellor's Advisory Group and the London Mayors pre election Mayoralty Business Engagement Board.

McGrath is a former Director and Chairman of Queens Park Rangers Football Club plc; a former Trustee of The Chartered Surveyors Training Trust; The Guildford School of Acting; The WAVE Trust and The Prison Advice and Care Trust; and is a former UCLH Cancer Centre Development Board member.

In March 2009 McGrath became owner of the iconic left-of-centre Tribune magazine,[11][12][13] but relinquished ownership at the end of October 2011.[14]

McGrath was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for charitable services.[15]
