Kevin Bracken

Kevin Bracken is an American Greco-Roman wrestler who competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics, where he finished 6th at 63 kg.[1] • 2000 Olympic Team Member, 6th Place • 2003 Pan-American Champion; 1993, 1995, 2001 Pan-American silver medalist • 2001 World Championships, 7th Place • 1996 World Cup Champion • Olympic Training Center Team Captain for six years, nominated by some of the country’s best wrestlers including World and Olympic Champion Rulon Gardner and World and Olympic Silver Medalist Matt Lindland • 2003, 2002, 2001, 1998 World Team Member • 2004, 1996, 1992 United States Olympic Alternate Owner: Olympian Wrestling Club, Castle Rock, CO. www.olympianwrestling.net

High School career

He attended St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, where he was captain and most valuable wrestler for their first state championship team in wrestling.[2] Bracken provides the Kevin Bracken scholarship fund to St. Laurence high school. He led the St. Laurence Vikings to a team state championship in 1990. Coach by Bob Trombetta and Tom Gauger. Tom Gauger sparked Bracken’s Greco-Roman interest that led to his success. Tom Gauger has coached several wrestlers that competed in the college ranks.

College career

National/International career

Kevin was a five-time national champion, three-time Olympic alternate, and one-time Olympian.[5] Jr. National runner up 1989, Jr. National Champion 1990. 20 year old age group National Champion Greco and Freestyle. 5 time world team trials champion
