Keury Mella (born August 2, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Career
San Francisco Giants
Mella signed with the San Francisco Giants as an international free agent in 2011.[1] He made his professional debut in 2012 with the Dominican Summer League Giants. He spent 2013 with Arizona League Giants and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and 2014 with the Augusta GreenJackets.[2][3]
Cincinnati Reds
On July 30, 2015, the Giants traded Mella and Adam Duvall to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Mike Leake.[4] The Reds added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.[5] He made his MLB debut on September 20, 2017.
