Kesamudram is a mandal in Mahabubabad District of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located in Kesamudram mandal.[1]

Etymology

Kesamudram derived its name from the local words Kesari (=lion) and Mudram (=foot print). Hence, the name Kesamudram meaning Footprint of Lion. Now it is part of newly formed Mahaboobabad District

Geography

Kesamudram is located at 45 km from Warangal. Railway station was recently renovated and was inaugurated on 28 April 2018 by MLA Shankar Naik, MP Sitaram naik, ADR M Subramanyam, Sr Divisional commercial Manager Subith Sharma &railwat staff. All major express trains halt in Kesamudram

Agricultural Market is the second biggest market in the state where as the warangal market stands first. The income of the market Rs.6 crores per annum. Kesamudram Market is famous for turmeric. The area called 'centre' is famous in Kesamudram. There are many shops in that circle. Its code is KDM. In village there are many farmers and unions where there is unity to the peaks among its citizens. It is famous for agricultural products and Market. Majority of the people are economically backward and they are not financially supported by the government. Not even a single development activity have seen in the kesamudram mandal so far i.e., from the last 4-5 years. It has a wide range of grocery stores led by key people of local community. [2]
