Kemal "Kem" Cetinay (born 25 April 1996[2]) is an English reality television personality, rapper and hairdresser, best known for taking part in the ITV2 reality show, Love Island in 2017, where he won the series along with Amber Davies.[3][4] As part of Chris & Kem, he charted at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.[5]

Career

On 5 June 2017, Cetinay gained notability when he became a contestant on the third series of the ITV2 dating reality show, Love Island. On 24 July 2017, he and Amber Davies were voted the winning couple, taking home a shared prize of £50,000.

In October 2017, he and fellow Love Island contestant, Chris Hughes released a grime single, "Little Bit Leave It", which reached no. 15.[4][6]

In January 2018, he became a contestant on reality TV show, Dancing on Ice.[7] He and his partner Alex Murphy finished in 4th place following a skate off with rugby star Max Evans and his partner Ale Izquierdo.

He has since gone on to be a guest on TV shows, one of them being Love Island: Aftersun.

Personal life

Cetinay's parents are of Turkish Cypriot descent.[8] During 2017, Cetinay dated fellow Love Island contestant, Amber Davies, splitting in December 2017.[9][10]
