Kaushik Hossain Taposh is a Bangladeshi music composer. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Composer for the film Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini (2013).[2] He received the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 for Best Singer and Music Composer in Bangladesh.[3][4]
He is serving as the managing director and CEO of the television channel Gaan Bangla.[5]
Background
At the age of eight, Taposh released his first music album, Pakihder Pathshala (Birds' School), at Ekushey Book Fair.[6] He studied at Bangladesh Institute of Broadcasting art (BIBA).[6] He took singing course at Shishu Academy and folk music at Chhayanaut.[6]
Career
In 2015, Taposh worked with Indian music director Salim Merchant.[7]
Taposh formed three companies, Zero Technologies, The Fuel Station label and TM Production.[1]
Personal life
Taposh is married to Farzana Munny, is a beautician and fashion designer.[6][8] Together they have three children.[3]
