Kate Groobey (born 1979, Leeds, Yorkshire) is a British artist based in London.[6]
Groobey was educated at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford (BFA degree in Fine Art, 1997–2000) and the Royal College of Art in London (MA degree[7] in Painting, 2008–2010).[1]
Kate Groobey exhibited in Newspeak: British Art Now Part 2 at the Saatchi Gallery[5] in 2010, the Mare Street Biennale 2010: Unfeasibility Study, and the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2011 at the ICA, all in London.[1]
In 2014, Groobey was selected as one of a hundred artists for the book 100 Painters of Tomorrow.[8][9]

Groobey won the Daiwa Foundation Art Prize in 2018.[2][3] The other two shortlisted artists were Keith Milow and Mark Neville.[4][14]
