Karabad (Persian: كر آباد, also Romanized as Karābād and Karrābād; also known as Garābād and Karrāwa)[1] is a village in Razab Rural District, in the Central District of Sarvabad County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 665, in 164 families.[2]

It has long been a center for cattle herders. More recently oil has been discovered in the area, and many businesses have been attracted. This has had a beneficial effect on the local economy.
