Kampi Ya Samaki is a settlement in Kenya's Baringo County, located on the shore of Lake Baringo. The name Kampi Ya Samaki is Swahili for 'Village of Samaki' where Samaki is a type of fish present in the lake. Kampi ya Samaki basically means 'fish camp' as it is the landing bay for fishermen and also a market for their fish. The population of Kampi ya Samaki is cosmopolitan however about 99% of it form the arror sub tribe of the tugen and this answers the visitors question of where the area lies administratively and politically.
