Kalyana Parisu 2 (Tamil: கல்யாண பரிசு, English: Wedding Gift) is an Indian-Tamil Language Family soap opera that airs on Sun TV from 10 February 2014 on Monday through Saturday at 2:30PM (IST). The first season focused on Gayathri, Subbulakshmi and Surya, who were married.[1][2]

The second season sequel and next generation story of Kalyana Parisu 1 reflects the lives of Vidhya and Ashok. The show completed its 1,400th episode on 3 October 2018.

Plot Season 01

This series is a Family and triangular Love story. Gayathri (B.R Neha), Subbulakshmi (Shruthi) and Renukha (Akila) are good friends. But this friendship did not last long. Surya is married to both Subbulakshmi and Gayathri, due to unexpected circumstances. How life turns chaotic for all three is the story.[3]

Casting

Season 1

Season 1 Series is a Family story produced by Vision Time airs on Sun TV. Kannada TV Actress Neha Gowda was selected to portray the lead role of Gayathri, are making their debuts with the series. Sridevi was chosen as well after her great performances in many shows on Tamil Television. Later Sruthi Shanmuga Priya was replaced role of Subbulakshmi in Episode 1080. R. Vipu Makes her debut in Tamil Serial in and as Renukha. Later Akila was replaced role of Renukha in Episode: 440. Eshwar was selected to portray the lead role of Surya. Bommalattam serial fame Sreeja was selected to portray the Main role of Anbarasi in Episode 1198. Other supporting cast include Sadhana, Narasimha Raju, Anuradha, Sudha Swarnalakshmi, Kalaranjini, Bhavani and Ravi Varma.

Season 2

Season 2 Series is a Village family romance revenge story. Srithika was selected to portray the new lead role of Vidhya. Who is known for her Serial like Nadhaswaram and Kula Deivam. Arnav was chosen due to his amazing performance in Sakthi. Other supporting cast include Vanitha Krishnachandran , Santhi, Sathyapriya, Androos Jesudas and Birla Bose.

The series was directed by R.Nandhakumar, A.Ramachandran (RC) and A.P.Rajendhiran. It was produced by Vision Time, along with the production crew of 2007-2017 Sun TV Serials like Vasantham (2007-2012), Kalasam (2008-2009), Thangam (2009-2013), Thyagam (2012-2013), Rajakumari (2013), Ponnunjal (2013-2016) and Vamsam (2013-2017).

Title song

The title song was written by lyricist Vairamuthu, composed C. Sathya and sung by Rita. The song was released on 10 February 2014 on Sun TV and on (VisionTimeTamil) Official YouTube Channel on 8 August 2014 with 1,63,542 viewers.[5]

On YouTube, the official Channel of the serial "Kalyana Parisu" has more subscribers as of September 2017. The channel has 20000+ - 2 lakhs views for all the episodes combined as of August 2017.
