Kaleerein (English: Bridal Material) is an Indian television series, which premiered on 5 February 2018 on Zee TV.[1] The show stars Arjit Taneja and Aditi Sharma in the lead roles.[2] This show produced by Nikhil Sinha and Sohanna Sinha.[3][4]

Plot

Meera Dhingra (Aditi Sharma) is a free-spirited, independent woman who loves to play Kabaddi and does not want to be well-groomed for her future husband. She believes that a woman loses her natural traits after enrolling in a grooming school. Her mother (Jaswinder Gardner) persistently pressurises her to marry and to shape herself into an ideal, upper-class wife; to fulfill her desperate desire to see her daughter get married after constant proposal rejections. She believes that Meera can only be socially acceptable by changing herself by going to Soni Kudi Academy. However, Meera is strongly against the idea and believes that she should only marry someone who loves her the way she is.

Amid all the constant search for a perfect guy for Meera, she coincidentally meets Vivaan Kapoor (Arjit Taneja) when she goes to meet her childhood friend for a marriage proposal. Vivaan is a rich, business tycoon and a NRI from London who turns out to be none other than her landlord. His arrogant, egoistic and doubtful behavior clashes with Meera’s bubbly personality. This causes the pair to argue every now and then like a married couple.

Initially, he came back to India for the sake of his sister, Amaya Kapoor, (Nisha Neha Nayak) in search of his long-lost mother, Pammi Kapoor, who left him as a child. Although he has hatred for his biological mother; he secretly yearns to meet her.

Vivaan believes if he ever chooses to marry, he wants to perfect his life partner whereas, Meera believes that she wants her life partner to love and understand her imperfections.

To save Meera’s dignity, Vivaan and Meera get married to each other. They come to the decision to divorce after their wedding as they're not happy . They constantly fight, while Vivaan believes Meera to be a gold digger and Meera hates Vivaan's egoistic personality. However, due to circumstances, Meera does not sign the divorce papers because everytime she tries to , she faces many hurdles or a situation comes in the way.

Eventually, they become friends and fall in love with each other, but they become enemies as quickly as they become friends. Vivaan starts to suspect Meera and they once again at each others throats. Vivaan believes Meera to be the reason behind his biological mother's death and the reason everything in his life is going wrong. Meera tries very hard to prove her innocence to Vivaan, but to no avail.

When Vivaan and Meera end up in the wrong place and in front of goons, Meera saves Vivaan from being shot at, by taking the bullet herself. Vivaan sees the goodness in Meera and tries to win back her love. Unfortunately, Meera's father gives Meera the ultimatum to choose between himself and Vivaan. Meera chooses her father forcefully , but this does not stop Vivaan. He enters the Dhingra household as a cook, to prove he will do anything for Meera.

He continues to work for them but is soon accused of stealing the God's idol. The villagers beat him and decide to call the police, that is when Meera steps in and shows her faith in Vivaan. Together they work to find the idol and Vivaan is proved innocent. Meera's father finds a good groom for her who is also his best friend's son. This marks the entry of Sunny in their lives.

Sunny pretends to be a good guy , who wants to save Meera and Vivaan's love but they soon discover that he is Vivaan's stepbrother , and the one who killed his mother by hatred . Vivaan and Meera fight against Sunny with courage , he tries to separate them by sending Vivaan to jail and Threatening Meera but in vain . He is arrested by police later

Vivaan and Meera have a peaceful life , but his past starts hunting him , he will do anything to not lose her love .
