KakaoBank (Hangul: 카카오뱅크) is a Korean internet bank launched by internet company Kakao. The banking services was launched in 2016 with integration with KakaoTalk and KakaoPay to let users connect with people in their contact list and make financial transactions with them.[1]

Unlike traditional banks in Korea, there are no specific ATMs attached to KakaoBank and customers are allowed to withdraw and deposit money from any ATM that they wish. KakaoBank also features debit cards with their Kakao Friends characters on them. Customers can take out loans to pay security deposits like traditional banks.[2] KakaoBank also plans to launch a credit card in 2019.[3]
