On the air since 1947, the station is currently owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. Its studios are located on Shaw Avenue in North Fresno, and the transmitter towers are north of Visalia, California.

KRDU signed on in 1947 on its current frequency of 1130 kHz with 250 watts daytime only. In 1949 it moved to 1240 kHz with 250 watts full-time. In 1961 it moved back to 1130 kHz with full-time authorization.
