K. V. Shanthi known by her stage name Shanthi is an Indian actress in Malayalam movies. She was a prominent lead actress and Dancer during the late 1950s and 1960s and 1970s in Malayalam,Tamil,Telugu & Hindi films. She appeared in famous Hindi films like Chori Chori of 1956. [1]

Background

She was born at Samkranthi, Kottayam, Kerala, and later moved to Chennai. She is married to Sasikumar and they have one son named Shyamkumar.[2] She was one of the permanent actress of Merryland Studio's movies. She has acted more than 50 Malayalam movies and few movies in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi .[3]
