Kırıt is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated at 37°05′N 34°54′E / 37.083°N 34.900°E / 37.083; 34.900 in the southern slopes of the Toros Mountains. Turkish state highway D-750 is to the east of the village. Its distance to Tarsus is 27 kilometres (17 mi) and to Mersin is 55 kilometres (34 mi).[1] The population of Kırıt was 226 [2] as of 2012.
