Julie Annette Rovelstad Andem (born 4 July 1982) is a Norwegian screenwriter, director, and television producer.
She is best known as the creator, screenwriter, director, and showrunner for the acclaimed young adult internet/television series Skam (2015–2017).[1][2] At the 2016 Gullruten awards, the series won three prizes, for best TV drama, best new program series, and newcomer of the year.[3] The series has also been well received internationally, such as in Denmark,[4] Sweden[5] and China,[6] and for the US market the concept has been sold to Simon Fuller's production company XIX Entertainment.[7] Andem will also direct and showrun the American version of Skam.[8]
