Južni Vetar

Južni Vetar (Cyrillic : Јужни ветар ; English: Southern Wind) is a Yugoslav music band famous for recording with many famous folk, pop-folk and turbofolk singers from Serbia and Bosnia. The band was founded by Miodrag M. Ilić (nickname Mile Bas), an experienced musician from Leskovac, a town in southern Serbia (hence the name "Southern Wind").[1]

The height of its popularity in Yugoslavia was in the 1980s, especially with the 1986 album "Pristajem na sve" which sold 1 million copies.Its golden age lasted from 1982 until 1991,when everyone left because they feared for their lives because of the wars in Yugoslavia.[2] Early on, the band developed a very recognizable sound and released dozens of albums, including the following singers:
