Josh Johnson (baseball coach)

Joshua Rashaad Johnson (born January 11, 1986) is an American professional baseball coach for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball.

The Kansas City Royals selected Johnson in the third round of the 2004 MLB draft. They released him after the 2009 season, and he signed with the Washington Nationals. After playing in the Nationals' system through 2015, they hired Johnson as the manager of the Gulf Coast Nationals in 2016.[1][2] The Padres hired him as the infield coach on their major league staff before the 2018 season.[3]

Johnson's father, Larry Johnson, played in Major League Baseball.[2][4]
