Josh Gordon (born 10 October 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays for Walsall, as a striker.

Career

Gordon played youth football for Stoke City, Peterborough United and Alloa Athletic. He then played in non-league with Newcastle Town and Nantwich Town before moving to Welsh club Rhyl in February 2016.[1] He made one league appearance for Rhyl before returning to Nantwich.[2] After a spell with Stafford Rangers he joined Leicester City in April 2017.[3] Gordon signed with Walsall in August 2018.[4][5] He scored his first professional goal in an EFL Cup tie with Macclesfield Town on 28 August 2018.[6]

Personal life

Gordon studied for a university degree alongside his non-league career, earning a BA (Hons) in Sports Development and Coaching from Staffordshire University.[7]
