Biography

Beginnings

From his early childhood he felt a special attraction to drawing and painting however, at the age of twenty he chose the visual arts and made incursions into amateur photography and amateur filmmaking, reaching several successes in the documentary section. This passion for the visual arts are set in the future in the essence of his painting.

Disciple of the Basque painter Jose Luis Aldecoa[1] in the 1980s walked into the techniques of landscape, but with its technical training, gave it some specific traits to his painting in the 1980s he started to use the techniques of landscape painting but his technical training gave his paintings specific traits that reflect his knowledge of technical drawing, specifically in their geometry and perspective. In the 1990s he opted for a more hyper-real type of painting. On the border of hyperrealism adapted to the urban landscape, it highlights the meticulous preparation of the chosen subject with a polished technique, careful composition and the inclusion of urban elements that enrich the perspective of the whole. The well-defined vanishing lines that emphasize the perspective in addition to great contrasts are a general style present in his paintings. Usually done in acrylic paint on worden canvas and applying mixed techniques each frame is a carefully planned project from the origin recreating the photographic reality of a particular moment framed in a composition of lights and shadows that were not selected at random.[2][3]

His personal approach to art lies in the perfecting of a technique where reflection and observation are considered the principles of a successful project.[2][3]
